There are two significant features among the camera modes – the director's view mode and the night mode.

Director's View Mode. The Director's View mode allows the user to choose different modes during real-time recordings, such as the Ultra-wide, Wide, Telephoto, and vlogger mode. Covered in one take with unprecedented processor speeds splicing every angle together to create a single, seamless movie file without lag.

Night Mode. The Night mode function enables the user to capture bright shots even in extreme low light conditions by using AI, which processes multiple frames at incredible speed to eliminate noise and blur.

Display

(S21 Ultra 5G) The S21 Ultra (5G) features a large 6.8-inch (3200 x 1440), Edge Quad HD+ infinity-o display with Dynamic Amoled 2x for a vivid and a brightness of 1500 nits screen, a 100% color volume realistic color even in sunlight, and 50% more contrast. It has a super smooth adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a standard 10Hz refresh rate, saving battery usage.

(S21+ 5G and S21 5G) On the other hand, the S21+ (5G) features a 6.7-inch (2400 x 1080), while the S21 (5G) has a smaller 6.2-inch (2400 x 1080) display. Both models come in a Flat FHD+ infinity-o display with Dynamic Amoled 2x for a vivid and bright screen of up to 1300 nits and support an adaptive 120Hz high refresh rate and a standard 48Hz refresh rate.

All three models are certified with an eye comfort shield feature, reducing the harmful effect of blue light, which reduces eye-strain and fatigue from prolonged usage of the smartphone and has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Covered with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, they are scratch-resistant and can survive drops onto hard, rough surfaces from up to 2 meters.

Performance

Featuring the latest Snapdragon 888, 5nm processor chipset, the Galaxy S21 series is the fastest chip in the Galaxy series. However, like any previous models, the Exynos chipset is used instead for international release. And in the S21 Series (international) sits the Exynos 2100 processor.

Compared to the previous S20 ultra processor, Exynos 990, the latest Exynos 2100 has up to 19% improved single-core performance and 33% in multi-core performance, allowing faster loading and seamless multitasking. And along with the Mali-G78 GPU, gaming performance has an improvement of up to 46%, according to Samsung. The processor also supports HDR10+ display with up to 4K resolution and enables 8K TV-out, which allows the user to watch 8K video shot on their smartphones in detail.

Enhanced Game Booster The S21 Series has an enhanced game booster, enhancing the user's overall gaming experience. The new priority mode features block calls and notifications to reduce possible disruption during the gaming experience. The sophisticated AI monitors the device and automatically adjusts the settings for the best gaming experience, such as regulating temperature, battery, and memory, all during the gaming mode.

All models have a wireless PowerShare feature, supports fast wireless charging 2.0, and can charge more than 50% battery in 30 minutes with the super-fast charging (25W Travel Adapter).

Additional Features

IP68 rated protection The S21 Series has IP68 rated protection, which means the device is dust and water-resistant. However, this does not mean that it is waterproof.

WiFi-6 enhanced edition The S21 Ultra(5G) supports both 5G and WiFi-6 Enhanced edition, which keeps the user connected in real-time.

SPen Among the S21 Series, only the S21 Ultra(5G) is compatible with the S Pen, which can be purchased separately.

All in all, although the S21 Series comes in a hefty price tag, it is packed with significant improvement in performance, camera, display, and many additional features worth considering.
