Xiaomi - POCO M3

Hello to Xiaomi's sub-brand, Poco - M3 smartphone, which has a super insane starting price of $173 (converted from USD129) for its base model. Even with the low price point, the M3 still offers a competitive spec in the market that makes it worth considering to buy for users who do not need high-end smartphones.

Camera

For an entry smartphone, the POCO M3 did have a surprisingly good main rear camera. It has a 48MP camera with f/2.4, which takes quite a quality photo during daytime and acceptable photo in low-light conditions. There are ten photography features; however, it does not come with optical image stabilization (OIS) anti-shaking, which could contribute to shaky photos unless you have a steady hand. The Poco M3 also has a 2MP with f/2.4 macro camera and a 2MP with f/2.4 depth sensor camera sitting along the main.

Display

It has a 6.53-inch FHD+, 1080p IPS LCD screen with a 19.5:9 slender aspect ratio and an 8MP selfie camera in the front. The display is brilliant and colorful, and it has a thin bezel frame around it and a corning gorilla glass 3 cover. It also has a low blue light certification and has an integrated fingerprint sensor in the power button for faster accessibility.

Performance

The Poco M3 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with up to 2.0GHz, an Adreno 610 accelerator graphics, a 4GB Ram, and a 64GB SSD storage space with 60Hz refresh rate for the base model. And if you wonder if the M3 can handle popular mobile gaming like PubG, the answer is yes, but don't expect it to perform like the higher-tier smartphone. And there is a tad of latency while running apps or even accessing the photo library.

Battery

It has an impressive 6,000 mAh battery size, similar to the ROG phone 3 gaming phone, and supports 18W fast charging.  Meaning, the battery life can last not 1 day but up to 2 days under average usage, which is very long lasting, considering how fast smartphone depletes nowadays. And with a USB-C reversible connector port, the M3 can act as a battery bank for other devices.

Overall

To sum up, the Poco M3 is worth looking at if you are interested in getting a smartphone with a big battery capacity for average daily usage at an affordable price. Per se for the elderly who is not keen on high-end smartphones but would still love to join the bandwagon of having a smartphone. But don't get me wrong. The Poco M3 comes in three bold colors, can handle popular mobile gamings such as PUBG Mobile or COD, has a great 48MP camera, and a MicroSD slot for up to 512GB storage, which is excellent for any age user.
