Specification
Design and Build
Ultra-thin Design: Both Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 have an impressive ultrathin build of only 11.2mm and 11.5mm thickness for their 13.3-inch model. Especially for the Galaxy Book Pro 360, which is also a 2-in-1 laptop with a 360-degree hinge. According to Samsung, the laptop thickness is as thin as a smartphone. And even with such a sleek design, Samsung still manages to squeeze in a reasonable amount of physical connectivity in both laptops, each having two USB connections and one thunderbolt port.
Ultra-light Design: Aside from their sleek design, the Galaxy Book Pro weighs only 870g for its 13.3-inch model, being the lightest Galaxy Book today. On the other hand, although the Galaxy Book Pro 360 has a heavier weight of 1.04kg, it is still acceptable considering it is a convertible laptop designed to switch to a PC or tablet.
Performance
Both models are running with Intel's newest Tiger Lake processor, the 11th gen Intel(R) Core CPU with Intel(R) Evo, paired with the Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 offers up to a 16GB Ram and 1TB SSD storage, while the Galaxy Book Pro only offers an 8GB Ram with up to 512GB SSD storage. As claimed by Samsung, both flagships can perform at lightning speed, from downloading large files to online streaming and multitasking, and even split-second responsive gaming for the Galaxy Book Pro 360. Also, both models have the same battery capacity of 63Wh for the 13.3-inch lasting up to 21 hours and 68Wh for the 15.6-inch, giving 20 hours battery life.
Display
Both models feature Samsung's first OLED Windows Pcs, AMOLED display, with eye care certified that reduces harmful blue light. The Galaxy Book Pro has both 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch FHD AMOLED display (1920 x 1080) resolution, 370 nits, with a vibrant cinematic-like view at 120% color volume. Meaning, even working outdoor with bright sunlight, the display is still visually apparent for the eyes.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Book Pro has a 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch FHD display with a Super AMOLED touch screen display in (1920 x 1080) resolution, with vibrant cinematic-like viewing and perfect color working indoors and outdoors. On top of that, it also features Intelligent Colour Engines that tweak the color profile accordingly to the task on screen. According to The Verge, this could mean that the display would be more vivid when playing a movie or even more true-to-life while editing a photo.
Galaxy Ecosystem
Lastly, the cherry top for the Galaxy Book Pro series would be the Galaxy experience, which is a continuous experience focus. As mentioned in the Samsung's unpacked event, the windows 10 laptops can now connect to Galaxy Android devices, such as Galaxy Buds Pro, incoming call display, and a second screen that expands workspace to the Galaxy Tab, for efficient multitasking. Also, the Galaxy Book Pro series doubles up as an ultimate smart home hub with seamless SmartThings integration. Meaning, you can off the lights, change the temperature, or even control your kitchen appliances without moving away from your desk.
